TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS

The Institution of Fire Engineers (India) was established on the recommendations of the Standing Fire Advisory Council constituted by the Chiefs of Fire Services in India and headed by Director General, Civil Defence, Home Guard & Fire Service, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The Institution was founded in the year 1973 as a premier non-government organization (NGO) and professional body registered under the Societies Act, 1860 as resolved in one of the meetings held under the Chairmanship of the then Dy. Home Minister, Sh. B.N.Datar, Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.

INSTITUTION OF FIRE ENGINEERS (INDIA) was brought into existence to encourage, assist and extend comprehensive knowledge on all matters relating to Fire Engineering. Its aim is to provide wholesome platform to hold conference, seminars, exhibitions and open forums where persons of outstanding professional knowledge and experience in the field of fire services are invited to investigate the solutions of the current problem concerning Fire Engineering. Another aspect that is being covered is for the evaluation of the skill and knowledge attained by the candidate by conducting regular examinations and tests, oral or written to judge the competency and providing Certificate, Diploma, Degree for the same which will add up to the professional qualification quotient for any individual. Fast growing need for the professionals and workload of NFSC gave rise to the idea of setting up more institutions for being ready and self-sufficient. Hence, after the recommendation of the Fire Advisory Council, IFE (INDIA) was born. IFE (India) is solely dedicated to the Fire Engineering professionals, and towards training them in a manner that they become self-sufficient to cope with any disastrous situations that may arise. We aim at forming an association where we sow and reap together.

This 19th edition of IFE (India) Fire Conference is the latest update in Fire India series, which will address the key fire safety considerations, building regulations, identify best practice, and provide expert knowledge to the Conference Delegates. IFE (India) is an Institution which aims at coloring a larger, brighter picture keeping the team and its members together.
