Professional Member shall be a person of outstanding Professional distinction in the field of Fire Fighting or Fire Engineering. He/ She should be:
a. Working as Gazetted Officer in Central/ State Govt. Or retired as Gazetted Officer.
or
b. Working as Executive Cadre in Government Undertaking or retired as Executive Officer.
or
c. Working as Executive Officer in any private organization.
And ordinarily not less than 50 years age made a worthwhile contribution, in the opinion of the Council, in furtherance of the Aims and Objects of the Institution. He shall be enrolled only on an invitation by the Council of the Institution.
