A number of jobs are associated with the industry of fire safety. While the public regards firefighters as the only authority related to this field, many other profiles assist the community against fire outbreaks.

Fire marshals or fire safety officers are important profiles that work to maintain a check on the means that prevent fire. While firefighters are called in to protect life and property in case of a fire outbreak, a fire marshal or fire safety officer tries to ensure that there is no fire outbreak, to begin with. This is the key difference between the two profiles, while one is about preventive measures the other is about active rescue operations.

·         Organising and conducting fire drills/simulations that sensitise people with the correct safety protocol
